Which one sounds like your place?
"My drive washes out every monsoon."
Steep or rutted drive that needs regrading every year. Start with hillside driveways and drainage.
Hillside driveways →"We share a road with the neighbors."
Private easement nobody maintains. Reshape, drain and surface it — priced by lot.
Shared roads →"The arroyo crossing keeps failing."
Clogged culvert, washed-out dip, or a new crossing needed.
Culverts & crossings →"I'm done with gravel."
Dust, ruts and loose rock — convert to asphalt, reusing good gravel.
Gravel to asphalt →"I want it firm but natural-looking."
Chip seal gives a sealed stone surface that suits the foothills.
Chip seal →"My asphalt is gray and cracking."
Crack sealing and sealcoat, or an overlay if it's further along.
Sealcoating →Up here, water decides how long a driveway lasts
Placitas and the Turquoise Trail combine slopes, arroyos, rocky soil and summer cloudbursts. Nearly every failed drive we see lost to water first.

Common questions
What does a driveway cost in Placitas?
Flat or gentle drives often run about $5–$9 per square foot in asphalt; steep hillside drives more, and chip seal less. See the Placitas cost guide.
Can you pave a steep driveway?
Yes. Steep drives need drainage, careful compaction and supported edges — and asphalt on the steepest pitches.
Do you pave shared private roads?
Yes. We price the whole road and break it out by lot so neighbors can split it.
Is chip seal a good option?
Often, for long drives and shared roads on moderate grades. Many owners combine it with asphalt on steep sections.
What areas do you cover?
Placitas, Bernalillo, Algodones, the Santa Ana and San Felipe Pueblo areas, Madrid, Cerrillos, Golden and north Rio Rancho.
Are estimates free?
Yes — we walk the property and give you a written price.
